Introduction to Statistics
In the Google Sheet that is below students practice using equations in Sheets to do some unit conversions. The video to the right walks through how to complete it.
After this we step things up a notch by creating our own data through the use of dial calipers and doing a more thorough analysis. |

1.3.1 Dial Calipers
The video to the right demonstrates how to use a dial caliper.
Below is a template that students will use to record their measurements of wooden cubes that "should" be 0.750 inches on each side. Students will then use formulas in Google Sheets to examine the data collected. |

1.3.2 Making Holes In AutoDesk Inventor |
In the video to the right I made a part with all the different holes that we discuss in Intro Engineering Design. Instead of watching the video you can start on page 5 of the document below.

1.3.7 Design ProjectBy clicking on the image to the right you will be able to make a copy of the presentation that includes all the project details.
This project allows students to practice being engineers through the creation of a prototype, a CAD model, then a 3D printed final product that is designed to either protect their earbuds or their flash drive depending on student preference. Timeframe: four weeks through blended instruction, two weeks through in-person instruction |
